How this build is configured
Foundation supplied the structural composite habitat and several major exterior and interior components while leaving the balance of the interior available for completion afterward.
The exterior was paint-matched in Mercedes-Benz Stone Gray, giving the cab and Foundation body a unified appearance.
Foundation’s standard process
This is how every Foundation body is delivered — it is not a special program. As a final-stage manufacturer, Foundation completes the structural vehicle platform, the exterior composite body, and selected major components; the interior is then finished around a square, insulated shell. Foundation does not do RV interior upfits itself.
What this particular Sprinter shows is a few of the additional options that can be specified on that same standard body.
The interior is finished — by you or a professional builder — starting from:
- flat composite walls
- consistent floor geometry
- standing-height habitat
- cabover
- cab passthrough
- exterior storage already integrated into the platform
rather than engineering around the factory metal cargo-van structure.
Why the Sprinter 170?
The FV-170 sits at the large end of Foundation’s Sprinter lineup and provides approximately 95.5 square feet of walkable floor where that current Foundation specification remains verified.
That makes it a strong platform for layouts requiring dedicated sleeping, bathroom, galley, and living areas while retaining the Sprinter chassis.
