A Better Foundation

Insulated composite camper, expedition, and specialty vehicle bodies — engineered and installed on Ford Transit, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Ford E-Series, and medium- and heavy-duty truck chassis. We build the structural body and platform; you build it out. Made in Golden, Colorado.

New — now available

Your rear wall becomes a ramp

The whole back of the body drops into a ramp and a load-bearing deck. Roll a side-by-side straight in, open it up into a railed patio, or make a heavy load-in easy — then close it back up into a sealed, insulated composite wall. Now available on Foundation bodies.

Two ways in

One platform, two paths

Recreational adventure rigs, commercial work vehicles, and specialty builds all start on the same insulated composite platform.

Recreational

A fully insulated, four-season composite body, installed on the van or truck chassis you choose. Outfit it your way — from a weekend van to a full expedition rig — built to go off-grid and stay out longer.

Commercial & Specialty

A rugged, build-ready platform that turns a chassis into a mobile workplace — medical, field operations, showroom, and government. Built to spec, finished to last in daily service, and installed on the chassis your operation already runs.

Why Foundation

Engineered as a foundation

Composite, not wood

A fully bonded composite panel — no wood to rot, absorb water, or grow mould. Fire-retardant, with no wood frame to feed a fire.

Genuinely insulated

A continuous R11 insulation layer with no thermal-bridging framework, so the interior holds temperature in the cold and the heat alike.

Square, build-ready space

Flat walls and true 90° surfaces with integrated mounting, so every inch is buildable — the interior goes in against a square, solid wall instead of a round, ribbed cargo van.

Installed on your chassis

We mount the body to your chassis on a torsion-reducing subframe that isolates it from road forces, then finish the shell to your spec.

Built to comply

Manufactured to FMVSS and OEM requirements as a final-stage manufacturer, so what leaves the shop is road-legal and titled.

Made in Golden, Colorado

Designed, built, and installed in-house at our shop in the Colorado Front Range.

How it works

Two ways to get a Foundation platform

Have us build a composite body and install it on your chassis, or order a flatbed camper as a kit and build it yourself. Here’s how each path works.

Builder Programs

A better platform to build on

Outfitters and manufacturers build on our bodies as a standardized starting point. We supply the structural platform — you control the interior, the brand, and the customer. From prototype to repeatable production, with private-label options.

  • A consistent, repeatable body you can design around
  • You keep the interior, the brand, and the client relationship
  • Prototype to production, with capacity to scale
