The flatbed camper

A camper that comes off when you need your truck back

A flatbed camper mounts to a flatbed and lifts off on its jacks — the truck goes back to work during the week, and you camp on the weekend. You get a four-season composite camper built from the same structural insulated panels, PIR foam, and thermal-break extrusions we put in every Foundation body — light enough to stay within payload, tough enough for washboard roads, and warm enough to camp year-round.

The flatbed

The look and space of a big expedition rig — for less

A bed-off flatbed camper gives you the big cabover space and the expedition-truck stance without the cost, weight, and upkeep of a purpose-built monster. It bolts to a flatbed and lifts off on detachable jacks, so the truck goes back to work during the week and you camp on the weekend. Most builds come together in a weekend.

Why it holds up

The same engineering as everything we build

These campers aren’t a lighter, cheaper product line — they’re the same closed-cell PIR foam, one-piece composite panels, and thermal-break AL+PVC extrusions that go into our van and truck bodies. That’s why they stay dry, hold temperature in every season, and shrug off the trail.

A one-piece composite panel

Walls, roof, and floor are structural insulated panels — a rigid foam core bonded between composite skins into a single piece. No wood to rot, no framing to telegraph cold, no cavities to trap water.

A closed-cell PIR core

The core is closed-cell PIR foam: more R-value per inch than the foams in a typical camper, no water absorption, and a wide service-temperature range — a continuous R-11 in the 1.5-inch panel.

A thermal-break edge

Every corner is joined by a hybrid aluminum-and-PVC extrusion that breaks the thermal bridge — less condensation inside the wall, a higher real-world R-value, and a stronger joint.

Two ways to get one

Build it yourself, or have us build it

Order a pre-cut kit

Your kit ships pre-cut with the panels, thermal-break extrusions, corner caps, brackets, hardware, and adhesive, plus a bill of materials and assembly instructions. Most flatbed builds go together in a weekend in a standard garage.

Have us build and finish it

Prefer to skip the build? We’ll assemble and finish the camper for you and get it fitted to your truck — professional assembly is available on every model.

Need more truck?

Stepping up to F-550 and beyond

For the heaviest expedition builds — F-550, Ram 5500, and up — we build a full expedition cabover with high-R, Azdel-reinforced panels on a torsion-reducing subframe, in 15, 17, and 19-foot sizes. That one we build and install for you.
